the University of Augsburg as part of their study programme abroad. The module ‘Political Conflict, Integration and Democracy from an Intercultural Perspective’ focuses on democracy, conflict and integration as well as societal cleavages and political institutions which are considered from a comparative perspective. Moreover, the module includes courses on political change and political culture in a transatlantic context. With this module we aim at teaching students to identify the structural context and institutional strategies required in order to understand and deal with political conflicts.
