A Note from The Pastors What would it look like for our church to step outside of its own four walls to help the sick, the hungry, and the thirsty? What would it look like if we flooded Summerville with grace for the outcast, healing for the broken, and love for the forgotten? What would a compassion revolution look like? It would look like Operation Inasmuch! Operation Inasmuch is a one day service blitz, where our congregation will serve as many hurting people as possible in our community on June 6. So, mark your calendar and keep an eye on your bulletin for the sign-up sheet that is coming soon.

Congratulations to Our Graduates… Kyle Jordan Ashbaugh Stratford High School Avery Charlton Atkinson Ashley Ridge High School Kristopher Eric Kuhn Pinewood Prep. High School

Morrison Farish was presented the William Weston Distinguished Service Award. Morrison has been actively engaged in the practice of pediatrics for over 37 years. During his career, he has made major contributions to the welfare of our children locally, in the Pee Dee region, statewide, and nationally. Congratulations, Morrison!

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL

Get ready to whirl through the summer with us! Our Children's Summer Sunday School program will continue using the Whirl curriculum in a slightly different (and fun!) format. Each week, children, ages 2 through grade 6, will gather to focus on lessons that are rooted in the lectionary readings. During Large Group Experience, all children will participate in a lively retelling of the Bible story. Afterwards, the children will have the opportunity to connect to the story through games and craft activities. For this to happen, we need teaching teams willing to commit to teach three Sundays during the summer. Call a friend or two, and invite them to join you! This is an opportunity for you to serve the children of St Luke’s, giving of your time and talent. What a wonderful way to encourage the spiritual growth of our children! Please contact Karen Schultz at the church office (873-2652), or Patty Brown (743-8368), so that you can choose your Sundays. Your lesson materials and excited children will be waiting!
