GI DISCLOSURE The Amway Independent Business Owner Compensation Plan (IBO Compensation Plan) offers monthly and annual bonuses that IBOs can earn in accordance with their contract with Amway. IBOs also may qualify for the AMWAY™ Growth Incentives Program (GI Program), a collection of discretionary programs separate from the IBO Compensation Plan and that can vary from year to year. IBO eligibility for the GI Program is at Amway’s discretion. The GI Program is available only to IBOs in “good standing” and those whose conduct demonstrates high ethical and business standards aligned with the goals and objectives of Amway and its related businesses. The average monthly Gross Income for “active” IBOs was USD $202 (in the U.S.)/CAD $198 (in Canada). Approximately 46% of all IBOs in the U.S., and 48% of IBOs in Canada, were “active.” IBOs were considered “active” in months in 2010 when they attempted to make a retail sale, or presented the Amway IBO Compensation Plan, or received bonus money, or attended an Amway or IBO meeting. If someone sustained

that level of activity every month for a whole year, their annualized Gross Income would be $2,424 (U.S.)/$2,376 (Canada). Of course, not every IBO chooses to be active every month. “Gross Income” means the amount received from retail sales, minus the cost of goods sold, plus monthly bonuses and cash incentives. It excludes all annual bonuses and cash incentives, and all non-cash awards, which may be significant. There may also be significant business expenses, mostly discretionary, that may be greater in relation to income in the first years of operation. For the purposes of the calculation in Canada, individuals who were IBOs for less than the entire year in 2010 were excluded. Following are approximate percentages of IBOs in North America who achieved the illustrated levels of success in the performance year ending August 31, 2013: Achievers Invitational; 0.55% For more details on qualifying for the GI Program and the requirements for good standing, see information on Amway.com or contact Amway Sales.

celebration: The Opening Spectacular | Achievers 2014 ACHIEVERS 2014 THE OPENING SPECTACULAR
A fantastic night celebrating amazing IBOs
Monkeys, jugglers, tattoo artists – oh my! The circus had come to the Opening Spectacular of Achievers 2014 in Las Vegas, but it was not like a circus anyone had ever seen. It was a steampunk world, and even those who had never heard the term were fascinated by the futuristic industrial vibe. IBOs, many wearing their exclusive Achievers vests, lined up early for the first night of Achievers 2014, and they cheered when the doors opened to the magical world of Steampunk City. What they found inside: circus performers decked out in old-fashioned aviator goggles, seemingly impossible big-wheel bicycles, and aerialists twisting overhead.
There was so much to see as the Achievers sampled the expansive, luxurious buffet. Doug DeVos, President of Amway, was at the doorway and greeted the nearly 3,000 excited IBOs to a week of exclusive events, informative business sessions, and fun adventures. This night was a time to greet friends and celebrate fantastic Achievers. The fun was just beginning!

The power of our strong partnership
|
Achievers 2014
It was standing room only, with a feeling of anticipation for a great Achievers 2014. Biz Buzz One did not disappoint, with stirring words from Amway leaders and spotlights on heroic IBOs. The new format split the business meeting into two fast-paced sessions. Biz Buzz One opened with Rajneesh Chopra, Vice President of Amway North America Sales, congratulating the successful entrepreneurs and recognizing their strong partnership. Doug DeVos, President of Amway, shared his messages on partnership, core values, and trust, and received a standing ovation from the Achievers. “We need to take the business forward, and we need to do it together,” he said. The inspiration was just getting started. The Amway Hero Awards recognized six IBOs who set outstanding examples of generosity, determination, patriotism, and leadership. As Candace Matthews, Regional President — The Americas, introduced each hero, heartwarming videos told their powerful stories. All IBOs were truly moved by their stories.

“It’s the people who are the critical element of this business” – Doug DeVos, President of Amway
|
Achievers 2014
“
I think it is important … for us to wonder every day about what we’re doing, about the actions we are taking, the work that we are doing with the people in our group. How are we creating that (positive) culture? How are we creating that atmosphere that allows for success, that demonstrates our commitment to people, that demonstrates our commitment to the new person. How do we live and communicate … every day knowing who we are as individuals, as business leaders, and as a company, as Amway. Knowing who we are, and why we do what we do. It’s not about the numbers that add up — it’s about the people whose lives are impacted. That’s why we do what we do. It’s not just to change bank accounts, although that can happen and that’s a good thing. But that’s not the purpose.
The purpose is when people, through their hard work and building their business, can experience economic freedom. And through that economic freedom, they are able to experience and live out the personal freedom that they desire. To make the decisions for themselves. To take the direction that they want to take.
”
That’s why we do what we do.

A true highlight was the Amway Hero Awards, given to those who set outstanding examples of generosity, determination, patriotism, and leadership. These individuals, nominated by their fellow IBOs, were recognized for keeping their fundamental values and their integrity, even when faced with challenges. As Candace Matthews, Regional President — The Americas, said, “They exemplify the values of Amway employees and Independent Business Owners around the world.” Congratulations Heroes!

leadership: Biz Buzz Day Two
Inspired thinkers share their great strategies Taking a cue from idea incubator talks, Biz Buzz Two was all about quick information. The innovative format worked: The Achievers got a lot of great information in just an hour. First, Jim Ayres, Managing Director of Amway North America (right), pointed to the success of the IBOs in the room and beyond for Amway North America’s strong year, with sales up 7.5 percent over 2013.
Then it was on to the quick-idea presentations. Here’s how it worked: Four IBO leaders had eight minutes each to share an idea on how they make their businesses stronger. That’s not much time, but all gave valuable tips. The panel of Amway leaders then gave feedback on how Amway supports those efforts. Biz Buzz Two ended with a chant all could agree on: We are Achievers!
Kelli Victor Effective selling: 1. Learn with webinars and other educational resources. 2. Build self-confidence by using the products. 3. Empower new IBOS with knowledge, resources to sell.
Maribel Galan & Theo Galan Jr . Engaging new prospects: 1. Connect with people you like, trust, and know. 2. Lead with the product. 3. Script the opportunity – and create interest.

leadership: The Fuel Expo LEGACY OF CLEAN:
Business-building ideas
Question: Why did Legacy of Clean® make the change in branding?
“I’m trying the new BodyKey™ cranberry bar. And it’s amazing!”
Answer: Market research revealed a perception that the old brand delivered a promise of eco-friendly products. While true, Legacy of Clean® home-care products also perform extremely well. These products really are better, naturally.
That was just one Achiever recounting what she learned at the Fuel Expo to share with downline IBOs later. It was the ultimate learning experience, with games, prizes, and product samples. There were photo opportunities with celebrity guests, and experts ready to share: scientists, Amway staffers — and the IBOs themselves. It was hard to decide where to go first. See longtime University of Texas coach Mack Brown and the crystal AFCA Coaches’ Trophy, presented by Amway? Sample the new XS® Energy drink flavor? Talk social media strategies? The Fuel covered two days and was full of great tips, new products, and coaching ideas. Here’s what the Achievers wanted to know:
NUTRILITE:
Question: Do Nutrilite® products contain gluten? Answer: While most Nutrilite® products contain little or no gluten, we are not able to continually guarantee gluten-free status. Although we follow strict Good Manufacturing Practices cleaning processes, foods and dietary supplements manufactured on shared equipment may result in trace amounts of gluten. Amway is continuing to explore how we can meet this consumer demand with select nutrition products that are backed by the highest standards of support for gluten-free claims.
ARTISTRY:
Question: How do you use Artistry Youth Xtend® with Artistry® Men? Answer: The Artistry Youth Xtend® system provides the ultimate in anti-aging, but men’s skin is different. Artistry® Men products are specially formulated for men’s skincare needs, like oil control and post-shave treatments. These new products are a great way to build your business with a new customer segment.
Mack Brown, longtime University of Texas coach and current ESPN analyst, was just one of the celebrity guests at The Fuel. Brown met with IBOs and talked about Amway’s great first year sponsoring the Amway Coaches Poll and the AFCA Coaches’ Trophy.

THE IBOs FEATURED IN BIZ BUZZ TWO SHARE…
Use Achievers to
What’s the one thing from Achievers 2014 that you want to share with downline IBOs?
motivate year-round
Kelli: Now more than ever, Amway and IBOs are working hand in hand to continue to make this business the best opportunity in the world! Theo: The unity between all IBOs regardless of where you’re from and what line of sponsorship you belong to. Shivaram and Anjali: One thing? Hard to do! Amway is first class, and they treat you first class. Maribel: Recognition night, where IBOs could visualize themselves reaching their next level, and the Fuel Expo, so that they could learn more about the products.
What sales tip or approach would downline IBOs find most interesting or helpful? Maribel Galan Theo Galan Jr.
Theo: Focus your business on the people.
What is the main way you motivate IBOs to get to Achievers?
Maribel: Everything that has to do with testimonials of the use and results of the products.
Maribel Galan: I would describe Achievers as one of the events that has the greatest impact on IBOs since Amway delivers several important elements: recognition, association, and information. These elements are very necessary to raise IBOs’ belief in the business, in the products, and in themselves.
Shivaram and Anjali: We share our experience. Another key factor is the family element. Many IBO leaders bring their kids to Achievers, and the friendships formed amongst kids whose parents share a common vision is powerful.
Kelli: Creating personal testimonials are huge in helping to create a sale.
Kelli Victor: Achievers is a first-class experience and a celebration of your achievements! It’s a time where you can reflect upon your accomplishments and gain energy and excitement for your future. Theo Galan Jr.: Achievers is a chance to see a bigger picture of the business we’re in and the corporation we’re partnered up with. You meet and hang out with thousands of IBOs from all over. Plus all the amazing activities and Amway’s VIP treatment isn’t a bad bonus. Shivaram and Anjali Kumar: Achievers Las Vegas was a phenomenal experience! The business sessions were high energy and had so much momentum that they were no less gripping than the most popular shows in Vegas. The magic on stage is how the company and the IBOAI® work hand in hand, making the business sessions extremely engaging and powerful.
34

Anjali and Shivaram Kumar
Maribel: We support IBOs with their goals month after month, creating alliances and teamwork. We also use all the resources from Amway — videos, postcards, Achieve Magazine, and Amway.com — for IBOs to visualize themselves at the next Achievers. Kelli: Every year when we return from Achievers, we meet with our team and share our experiences. Our excitement gets them excited! By the time we return from Achievers, if IBOs aren’t already qualifying to attend the upcoming Achievers trip, we really talk about setting yourself up to start qualifying for the following year’s trip. So we are really always promoting the next two Achievers trips! Theo: I talk to them about the chance to see “The Big Picture.” If you haven’t gone to Achievers, you still don’t know how huge this is. The Achievers trip is just insane. Period.
Achievers 2014
How to go
Diamond Everyone at the Leadership Meeting had Diamond Club on their mind. Here are seven things fellow IBOs and Amway leaders shared about getting there:
1
The greatest thing you can do for your organization is to outserve them. Show them you really care about their success.
2
Don’t put too much pressure on downline IBOs to qualify. Instead, share the happiness that comes with helping people.
3
Keep your sense of humor. Building a business is serious, but you can make it a happy experience by showing your fun side.
4
Don’t let victory go to your head or failure go to your heart.
5
Build on the excitement of new IBOs. And keep thinking of new ways to keep that excitement fresh and energized.
6
Study the characteristics of successful leaders. “Healthy” leaders are strong leaders.
7
Make people the center of your business. Success is important, but don’t put money ahead of people.
Shivaram and Anjali: The BodyKey™ story is a great sales tool. The snacking options in the new kit have so much variety.
How do you describe the experience to downline IBOs?

Today I have control of my time,” he says. “It is my upline and my superb team that have helped me build my Amway™ business and make my life better.
As Emeralds, IBOs have demonstrated their ability to sell, sponsor, train, motivate, and teach others to do the same. They have built healthy organizations and are reaping the rewards of their achievements.
KK Garimella & Lakshmi Cherukuri
Piumi retired from her full-time job three years ago and works at home to be with her sons, Dilmith, 12, and Kehan, 5.
Texas
“This opportunity brings out the best in people,” Chaminda says. “I’ve become a leader and grown in confidence, and I’ve watched many others do the same.”
Dreaming big: When KK and Lakshmi were introduced to the Amway™ business, they had a desire to succeed. Once they received their first check, however small, they knew they were on their way. “It was proof enough this business can work for those who are willing to work it,” says Lakshmi.
“We have learned to have a giving heart and learn to put others first.” — Piumi
“I look forward to the future and further success!”
“A new IBO must learn from his upline, manage his time, and be able to collaborate with team members.” — Charlie
What they did before: Both were students pursuing master’s degrees.
KK says one of the greatest rewards is working together on a common goal. Lakshmi agrees: “This business has given us the freedom to work on our own terms.” Since becoming IBOs, Achievers has been a special family moment with their daughter, Raina Irene Garimella, 5. KK says: “We created some great memories as a family and with all our uplines, whom we cherish and respect.”
“We not only discuss what we want to do with the business, we spend quality time discussing what we want to do now and in the future as a family.”
Dreaming big: Joyce’s persistence and passion for helping others has led to her success and happiness. “This business is what I’ve always wanted. I love people. I love visiting different countries. Amway™ offers the opportunity to meet people and travel,” she says. She now has businesses in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China. “My husband and I have had many amazing experiences, and we have more time together now because I can set my schedule to match his.” For Joyce, all the incentives she earns through the business don’t compare to the satisfaction she receives from helping others. “My team is like family, and there is a positive energy that flows through us,” Joyce says.
“I can honestly say my happiest moment is when I see another team member succeed.” — Joyce
Dreaming big: The Sierras had hope, passion, and determination when they were introduced to the Amway™ business. “We realized this opportunity had power, but we just had no idea then how big it could be or the freedom it could offer us,” says Martín.
Darío & L aur a Sánchez Arizona
What they did before: Darío is a gynecologist, and Laura is an allergist. Dreaming big: For Darío and Laura, there are reasons beyond money to be in the Amway™ business. “It offers personal growth, wonderful products, innovative tech tools, and excellent rewards. It’s an opportunity to become prosperous in all areas of your life, not just financially,” says Darío.
Now the Sierras spend more time every day with their sons – Erick, 24; Martín Jr., 19; Alex, 12; and Emmanuel, 6 – and take vacations as a family. “Before, we never had the time or money,” says Martín. “They enjoy us being with them more.” “We came from zero,” says Martín. “If it is good for us, we know it is good for many others.”
“Achievers every year recharges us and motivates us to share the opportunity with more people.” — Jessica
“It is wonderful to see downline IBOs change their lives for the better,” Laura says. The Sánchez family has attained many goals, but they continue to dream big. “I’d love to see my children become Diamond,” Darío says.
“We’re going Diamond to walk the talk and serve as an example to our children and downline IBOs.” — Dario
— Lakshmi
The average monthly Gross Income for “active” IBOs was USD $202 (in the U.S.)/CAD $198 (in Canada). Approximately 46% of IBOs in the U.S., and 48% of IBOs in Canada, were “active.” IBOs were considered “active” in months in 2010 when they attempted to make a retail sale, or presented the Amway IBO Compensation Plan, or received bonus money, or attended an Amway or IBO meeting. If someone sustained that level of activity every month for a whole year, their annualized Gross Income would be $2,424 (U.S.)/$2,376 (Canada).
Before registering as an Independent Business Owner (IBO) powered by Amway, you should read and understand the AMWAY ™ Business Overview Brochure, which contains important information for those interested in becoming IBOs.
Following is the approximate percentage of IBOs in North America who achieved the illustrated level of success in the performance year ending August 31, 2013; Emerald, 0.0356%

Yamila Cohen & Manuel Oliva Florida
What they did before: Manuel was a bartender, and Yamila lived with her father when they met through the business. Dreaming big: Yamila and Manuel agree that educating yourself and having vision are important in this business, yet Manuel is also pragmatic. “Action is essential,” he says. “You can’t just listen and read support materials to be successful in this business. You’ve got to get out there and do something.”
“Thanks to Amway™, I have learned to enjoy life. I managed to overcome my shyness by meeting and learning from many successful people,” he says. Ernesto and his wife, Gabriela, have two daughters, Zamira, 2, and Itzayana, born on January 12, 2015. Ernesto’s children from his first marriage are Clarybel, 28; Ernesto Jr., 25; Naerobi, 18; and Areli, 13. “With this opportunity and the freedom it offers, my family and I have quality time to be together,” he says.
“My life changed in an incredible way, thanks to this business. I never gave up.”
Jesús & L uz A vilés California
What they did before: Jesús was employed as a cabinetmaker while Luz worked in a ravioli and salad factory. Dreaming big: Before Jesús and Luz were introduced to the Amway™ business, they didn’t imagine themselves as role models and entrepreneurs. Jesús says, “I never thought we’d have the chance to help people improve their lives and serve as examples. … Now IBOs in our group look up to us.”
To keep themselves motivated, Yamila and Manuel have a “dream board.” They want to travel with their girls, Leah Angelina, 3, and Amy Nicole, 1, and provide them with the best education possible.
Jesús and Luz have five children, with all but the youngest active in the business: Edgar Alejandro, 25; José Alfredo, 25; Jesús Alberto, 23; Héctor Miguel, 21; and Maritza, 16.
“I was surprised by how much we can help others through this business,” admits Manuel. “I never imagined we could become better people through our success, but we have.”
“We’d love to see our children and the IBOs in our group make their dreams come true,” Luz says. “Seeing others become successful and have a shine in their eyes is what keeps us motivated. Helping others means the most.”
“We understood if we put forth the effort, we could accomplish our dreams and have a better life. So we did it together.” — Yamila
Dreaming big: When Ben and Trista fell in love in high school, their biggest dream was “to live a life of total freedom together,” says Trista. “When we were first introduced to Amway™, we realized it offered both earning potential and time, and it was the perfect business for us.”
Dreaming big: As Manny and Celia become more and more engaged in the Amway™ business, both agree that it brings out the best in them.
“By helping others through our business, I have found myself. I feel I have worth and a purpose in life.”
“He’s a natural leader,” says Celia. “I am also more confident than I used to be.” Their days and weeks are now their own. The Campas have a son, Emanuel, 2, and daughter, Isabella, 1.
Max & Berta R uiz
With Ben’s strong discipline and Trista’s endless energy, they’ve been able to reach their goals.
“We have a mission: to become the kind of IBOs Rich and Jay wanted to represent this business – hard workers with integrity, passion, and hope,” says Manny. “We are the next generation of this business.”
What they did before: Max worked at a meatpacking company, and Berta was employed by a fast-food restaurant.
The McNallys also have enjoyed helping others achieve their goals. “Watching the team, who have become our best friends, see success has been the best reward,” says Trista. “Being IBOs has changed our lives in every single way.”
“Staying motivated doesn’t come from the outside or from a book. It comes from within, like a hunger to fulfill your dreams.” — Celia
Florida
Dreaming big: Max and Berta fondly recall when they realized the Amway™ business offered them an opportunity to change their lives for the better. “We felt limited by traditional employment, and we witnessed how the Amway™ business had helped others,” Max says. “So we put forth effort and hard work, and our achievements were rewarded.”
“We started as two punk kids, ages 20 and 21, with no business or life experience, and have been able to create an amazing lifestyle.” — Ben
Today, Max and Berta enjoy spending more time with their children: Juan Carlos, 20; Alma Daisy, 12; and Avrian, 6. “It has changed our family life tremendously,” Berta says.
“It was a crucial moment when we figured out this business was an opportunity to have a better life.” — Max

I had no friends. My personal life was horrible. I saw this business as an opportunity to fulfill my dreams.”

I
n early January, the new 2015 IBOAI® Board met for the day at the IBOAI® office in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to welcome the newly elected members to your Board, present the history of the IBOAI® and Amway, and review the Board’s responsibilities. During the session, Chairman Bob Andrews administered the Oath of Office for five new members – Alberto Aguilera, Glen Baker, Howie Danzik, David Dussault, and Joe Markiewicz.
CELEBRATION • ACHIEVEMENT • LEARNING • LEADERSHIP! Here’s why you need to be there: • Learn how to build a strong, sustainable, balanced business. • Take a behind-the-scenes tour of Amway World Headquarters. • Be recognized and celebrate with fellow leaders.
Bob explained, “Since 1959 your Board has been dedicated to the generational success of every Independent Business Owner. Your 2015 Board will continue that legacy. With the assistance of your newly elected members, our focus will be GROWTH. Significant, sustainable, and strategic GROWTH! Each committee – Business Operations, Marketing Advisory, Awards & Recognition, and Legal & Ethics – is determined to be growth-driven.” “Our partnership with the Amway Corporate Team is strong and healthy. We thrive on collaboration and grow through continual communication, negotiation, and our mutual dedication to making this Business Opportunity the best in the world. The Board looks forward to a productive year.”

Achievers 2014
At Achievers 2014, Jim Ayres, Managing Director, Amway North America, shared an experience where he joined employees in Amway Canada for a fundraising event that involved rappelling down a skyscraper. Here’s what he learned from that experience:
Think about starting your own business. Not at Amway necessarily, but starting any kind of business. What a scary proposition that is, what a risky proposition that is. I was meeting with some of our IBO leaders, and one of them mentioned something that struck me: She said that of all the opportunity companies out there, Amway is set apart. Amway’s different. And the reason it’s different is because of partnership and trust — and support. Just like stepping off a tall building. But we at the company aren’t the ones stepping off the edge. You’re doing that. You get people to be willing to take that step, with confidence, to overcome their fear.

We’ve got to be there to make sure those ropes are strong. We’ve got to man the safety lines, we’ve got to make sure those knots are tied tight, and that the harness fits. So that you and your teams can make it down successfully and reach your goals.
That’s a great example for me of how this business works. We often say at Amway: You’re in business for yourself, not by yourself. So, yes, Amway is different. We exist to help you succeed. We are here for you, with outstanding products, training, and service. I know that if we work together, in partnership, with trust for each other, you can be successful. Together we will keep this momentum going. Together we will grow.
