EL próximo Miércoles, 13 de febrero, es MIERCOLES DE CENIZA. La Bendición e Imposición de la Ceniza, se efectuará solamente en la Misa de las 7:00pm., en Español NORMAS CUARESMALES 2013: Recuerden! El Miércoles de Ceniza y el Viernes Santo, son días de Ayuno y Abstinencia. Los otros Viernes de Cuaresma son días de Abstinencia. En los días de Ayuno, solo está permitida una comida completa y están obligados a observar el ayuno todas las personas entre los 18 y los 59 años de edad. En los días de Abstinencia, no se permite comer carne. Están obligados a observar esta ley los que han cumplido ya los 14 años de edad. This coming Wednesday, February 13, is ASH WEDNESDAY. Blessing and Distribution of Ashes will take place at 7:00pm. Mass, in Spanish. 2013 LENTEN REGULATIONS: The days of both, Fast and Abstinence during Lent are Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. The other Fridays of Lent are days of Abstinence. On a day of Fast, only one (1) full meal is permitted. Those between the ages of 18 and 59 are obliged to fast. On a day of Abstinence, no meat may be eaten. Those who have reached the age of 14 are obliged by the law of abstinence. The obligation to observe the laws of Fast and Abstinence “substantially”, or as a whole, is a serious obligation. The Fridays of the year, outside of Lent, are designated as days of penance, but each individual may substitute for the traditional abstinence from meat some other practice of voluntary selfdenial as penance.
