The services provided by the Interdisciplinary Breast Care Centre Our Breast Care Centre offers: 1. Consultation for the following: • Early detection of breast cancer • Genetics consultation for inherited cancer risk • Benign and inflammatory breast diseases • Treatment of breast cancer (surgical and nonsurgical) • Breast reduction • Breast enlargement • Correction of congenital breast deformities • Breast reconstruction surgery • Second opinion for complicated cases
3. State-of-the-art treatment approaches • Individualised targeted treatment • All kinds of surgical procedures including oncoplastic and plastic breast surgeries • Chemotherapy (participating in clinical studies or standard chemotherapy procedures upon request) • Radiotherapy • Intra-operative radiotherapy • Anti-hormonal therapy • Antibody therapy (immunotherapy) • Biphosphonate therapy
2. Modern diagnostic procedures: • Digital mammography with double readings • High resolution 3D ultrasound mammography • Galactography (imaging of breast ducts) • Magnetic resonance imaging of the breast (MRI) • Minimally invasive breast biopsies ( high frequency biopsy, skin biopsy, mammography-guided vacuum biopsy, ultrasound guided biopsy, MRI guided biopsy)
4. Supportive measures • Psycho-oncology • Sociomedical counselling • Self-supporting groups • Spiritual guidance • Physiotherapy • Lymphatic drainage treatments • Cosmetic counselling • Nipple areola micro-pigmentation.
